go The night highway is dark, and bright, straining to see lines
Sipping cola to wash the greasy meat coating the stomach
How much time goes by between blinks? What do these
Portuguese lyrics mean..? They must be of love, lost or gained.
Sketching in Madison Wisconsin from Frank Lloyd Wright’s Monona Terrace, completed by Taliesin Architects in 1999. Sitting atop the terrace, one has a beautiful view of lake Monona, the capital building and a wonderful street-scape. Rushed by rain, and cooled by a stiff spring breeze, I found spots to sketch quickly. I had not really spent much time there since living right around the corner from the terrace on Wilson Ave in 2000. Memories surface, while the scenes change, people move on, some remain, but the pavement stays hard, the lines still frame lovely vistas.
